End of 2010 Fire Season
Posted: Thursday, September 23, 2010

Dear Inbound friends and family,

Fire season 2010 is about over.  This fire season was well below the ten year average for both numbers of fires that started and amount of acres burned.  Our hand crew only had three days of work (on the Boise Complex), while our engines had 86 days of work.

We will be having a year end get together in October or November.  In addition we will be gearing up for the 2011 fire season, starting in February or March.  While it is difficult to remain engaged when there is not much work, I implore you to take steps to be ready for the upcoming season.

There are many things that you can do to keep yourselves mentally and physically ready to fight fires.  Please remember to undertake an off season training regime as we will be looking for only the most physically and mentally fit employees to be on our team.  The fire fit program has a well defined fitness schedule which is easy to follow and proven to work.  For those of you who prefer a less structured program, you should take steps to ensure your preparedness.

Please stay in touch with us during the off season.  Let us know if you change your address or phone number so that we are able to communicate upcoming training opportunities.  Check our website often for updates regarding upcoming trainings.

Lastly, I want to thank each of you for your continued committment to Inbound.  I am proud of our company and the direction we are heading.  Let us continue to strive to improve our capabilities.  We are only as good as our people, and we have great people.  Our people will continue to differentiate us from our competition.  Thank you for being a member of the Inbound family and I look forward to seeing you all at the year end potluck.

Best regards,

Dillon
